Kudos to Sophie for being a good human being and kicking it out when Buehler went down. I wish all players had your integrity. Good sportsmanship from Canada here, no doubt, but did no one else notice that each time Canada played it out for an injured US player, the US gave possession back immediately with the throw in?? The US did not take advantage of Canada’s sportsmanship, and in fact, showed great sportsmanship themselves by returning the possession back to Canada. I love how these coaches complaining about the U.S. are just making themselves look bad. That Canada/US friendly back in June was anything but “friendly” on both sides.
I used to like Herdman, but I lose respect every time he opens his mouth when it’s time to play us. I get that he is trying to inject some swagger into the CanWNT (and has been fairly successful), but this is just petty.
